** Victor talked to Hannah ("Dr. Reiner") - who said that the Elder is not purely in control once it takes over a body. She says it would be better if he never left Russia, and that he is still largely responsible for his actions prior to the Elder inhabiting his body. 
** Frank expresses opinion on what the Elder is like, claiming that the Elder has taken over the personality - like wearing an empty suit of skin. He says that the Outsider, the Elder within Rulianov, and the fae part of Fae are all similar. 
** Candide says the old Elders had to withdraw to Outside, unable to live inside the world. 
** The Elder took over his body in 1930 or 1931 - after the Queen's Blessing.
