Banthi are the Bio-mechanical inhabitants of the lost planet Zersinna. 
Created to maintain the machine-planet by the ancient "Makers" they have developed a life and culture of their own over the millennia since the disappearance of their creators. Though they can, at will, add skills and knowledge by interfacing with the planet, they avoid doing so as it rapidly erodes their autonomy, making them true puppets of the planet-wide intelligence.

They wield powerful leaf-shaped blades of shimmering force but will not use them except to prevent harm to the machinery of the planet.
