Protecting The World From Bad Invasive Things. Science Over Superstition Stifling Brother’s Curiosity That Thing That Ate Da <u>'''Dissociative Identity Disorder'''</u> Secondary personality manifests as a 5 year old girl (how old Kate was when exposed to Things Man Was Not Meant To Know). Occasionally an overly protective tertiary personality will emerge if the child persona is stressed, manifesting as a rebellious teenage girl. Neither personality is terribly useful in adult situations, let alone situations that call for an actual doctor/scientist. The primary character will ALWAYS go by Kate (or her code name Eight) and will ALWAYS react negatively to nicknames. The 5 year old personality thinks of herself as Katie but will answer to any reasonable version of her name. The teen persona will use the middle name Jane. She'll probably just sneer at other versions of her name. Only the teen (Jane) is aware of the other two personalities. Katie is unaware of any further development. She's stuck in the moment before she watched her da get devoured by Things Man Was Not Meant To Know. Kate also remains unaware of her condition, having access to the memories of that awful event but repressing all knowledge of her own coping mechanism. Her Delta Green File, of course, has all the details. Her handlers know, even if she doesn't.
