=Equivalent successes needed= This assumes that Mari is using Design Without Limit to reduce the number of successes needed (though not the difficulty) and that she is using her pet rock (granting +3 successes), Bracers of Crafting (which grant +5 successes) and max Excellency (+5 successes) while in her Factory-Cathedral (+4 dice for ideal workshoppery). Excess successes are lost unless she has enough to cover the difficulty and the accumulated successes needed to build another artifact (usually the same one), in which case she produces another. Her total construction pool is 14d10+ 13 successes, or roughly 20 successes per Crafting interval. For ''de novo'' construction: Level 1: 1 CI (difficulty 3/roll, 10 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
Level 2: 1 CI (difficulty 4/roll, 10 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
Level 3: 2 CI (difficulty 5/roll, 30 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
Level 4: 5 CI (difficulty 6/roll, 60 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
Level 5: 8 CI (difficulty 7/roll, 100 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
However, this is only when she's coming up with completely new artifacts. Her other Charm, Holistic Miracle Understanding, permits her to instantly analyze and reproduce any artifact she's ever used or handled with contemptuous ease. How contemptuous? Well, as mentioned above, when she's duplicating artifacts, she halves the cumulative successes required and further reduces that amount by 10 successes (to a minimum of 5 successes needed). HMU also triples the speed of the crafting. In other words... Level 1: 1 CI (difficulty 3/roll, 5 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
Level 2: 1 CI (difficulty 4/roll, 5 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
Level 3: 1 CI (difficulty 5/roll, 5 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
Level 4: 2 CI (difficulty 6/roll, 20 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
Level 5: 4 CI (difficulty 7/roll, 40 sux needed vs 20 sux/interval)
It's kind of like that.
