Octavian is by very deffinition, an eccentric, though in a much more positive light than many others of his class. While rather emotionally mature usually, Octavian often shows a small bit of naivete or lack of knowledge about certain aspects of society or life due to his cloistered attitude. Octvavian is friendly, and often displaying childish amounts of glee or excitement in the face of things that he is genuinly intrested in such as for instance, mechanical devices or magic. 
Octavian is stubborn by nature, with a keen intellect and however he often lets his mind rule over his heart, which tends to complicate many matters for him.
