===Background===

The Watchers are an organisation of elite information gatherers.  Unlike knowledge touts you find on the streets, the Watchers are always looking for new, sensitive information.  They keep a mental list of information they have been hired to look out for so when such information comes up they know who to go to for a good price for it.  They deal in secrets, not common knowledge.  Rennick’s father was a Watcher and taught him everything he knows about it.  He is immersed in Watcher lore and techniques and is one of the best in the business.  His father is now retired after a long and successful career and Rennick has been playing the game long enough to be close to retirement himself.
