A veteran of the Black Road War, as well as most of the major conflicts for several hundred years. Rabid Amber Royal Loyalist. A rough but fair warrior fanatically dedicated to the royal family and Amber.
His office is Warden of the Dungeons of Amber. He has a nearly fanatically loyal following of lifer dungeons guards;Elites who have chosen service in the dungeons as a way to retire from active duty and still be of service.

While well-respected by the royals, there are many who dislike him.  He, Eric and Caine were boon companions.  Gerard, Julian, Bleys, Corwin, and Random detest him. Fiona hates him openly.  Flora is a strong supporter of him and the frequently have tea in the dungeons.  Relmopator and he had a longstanding arrangement.
