==Background==

A pleasant young noble in his early twenties, Benedict came to Roval after resigning his commission in the army and training instead in the healing arts. The order of Pelor that took him was still a militant one, building off his training and convincing him that swearing a Paladin oath was not promising to be the blade of the self righteous. Although he's found meaningful work to do in Roval and other nearby communities, he sees the caravan as a sign that it is time to move on and do more good with his training.
