==Backstory==
Long before his days as an agent for Region 13, Drake Maxwell was once a detective for a sleepy little rural town. The kind of town where everyone knows everyone and the biggest cases he ever got were tracking down missing pets. Until one day all those pets started disappearing without a trace at a startling rate. With a keen eye for detail and a tenacious curiosity Drake followed the breadcrumbs all the way to the source, a bizarre and unsettling creature that made Drake question everything he knew about the animal kingdom. Luckily the Region 13 agents tailing Drake spared him the indignity of being listed among the monsters casualties along side Mittens, Fluffy Butt, and Captain Woofer. Impressed with his investigation skills and willingness to follow the grisly trail all the way to it's conclusion the agency offered Drake a choice. He could either have his memory erased, so he can go back to his peaceful job directing traffic and helping cats out of trees. Or he could lend his skills to Region 13 protecting people from otherworldly abominations. Drake thought about it for all of 10 seconds before coming to a decision, the townsfolk could find their own damn pets from now on.
