The Ansamble is a Warband that comes at the call of Amber but otherwise is a ravager band of cutthroats.  Assembled of small groups from across shadow the Jeweled Road has allowed this disorganized collection of people to come together under a few specific rules. The Ansamble developed after the Black Road War out of veterand from many shadows.

The main rule is that all conflicts are set aside if Amber calls upon them.  Many nobles and royals secretly support different groups. The wide diversity of members makes grading the Ansamble difficult.  In general the warbands would be considered ''Irregulars'' despite some groups behaving like ''Regular'' units. The mixture of cavalry and infantry makes it impossible to specify that dynamic.  Most members are professional enough to have chosen this lifestyle and that tends to rank them as ''B'' for their fighting abilities while different bands might have better or worse fighters.  Many warbands center around a single leader who might be of ''A'' skilled in fighting and the others ranked lower depending on their training. 

Reasonably violent and dangerous, they are distrusted by the rest of the military.  Despite that individual warbands might have powerful protectors.  The use of ''"Charge Coins"'' for acknowledging patrons.
