=Quarter: District 13= Though the Mad City's reality was greatly affected when the One Eyed Jack took power, perhaps nowhere is this more evident than in District 13. On the far side of Paradox Square from the waterfront, District 13 takes a massive bite out of the Labyrinth. The buildings are mostly brick and wood and they tower above the streets just like in the Labyrinth proper, but the streets are wider, and cars from 1910 to 1940 compete for space with carriages, wagons, and horses. A triangle of open land is a miniature mirror of Paradox Square. ==The Clocktower== At the far end of the square stands a great brick tower with a massive clock face on its front. This serves as the jail and offices of the sheriff. ----
