=Backstory= '''When did you first appear onscreen?''' It wasn't exactly my idea. Not long after I left Patch (and the Beacon), one of my classmates pulled this elaborate stunt to try and build up his supervillain cred. His name is Shannon Reese, but after a couple of brawls with Tower-aligned heroes, he started going by The Fallen. If you think that's bad, his plan involved a ritual he named "Random Encounter". Fairly impressive magic, though. A summoning circle that teleported around the city, spitting out minor demons. He also stole a bunch of camera drones so he could stream the whole thing and provide color commentary. The circle appeared right outside my school, so I zapped on my costume and started fighting demons. The whole thing turned into a magic duel by proxy as I chased the circle across the city. The Fallen was close behind, supporting his minions. And you'd better believe there was a boss fight at the end. A demon lord hijacked his ritual. Luckily it was relatively weak (only Knight rank) and not fully manifested. Plus, the Fallen made a run for it after he realized he was in over his head. He didn't get two blocks before Hellion (my former magic classmate) jumped him. Jerk. To add insult to injury, the whole thing backfired a little. Although the Fallen did win himself a few supporters, he also managed to put me in the spotlight. A couple of employees at Logres Multimedia saw the stream, and the company offered to set me up with a vlog and a sponsorship. '''What do you tell people about how you got your powers?''' I've given my fans a few different stories, but they seem to like the mystery. The first time someone asked this question, I was one of the few remaining scions of the Pendragon line, heir to the magical secrets of Morgan Le Fay herself. Another popular one involves me winning my powers from a mysterious and ancient entity after besting it in a battle of wits. As for the truth? I...don't think I need to ask if you remember the dragon attack two years ago. My mother and I found ourselves right in the thick of it. If not for the hero team led by Hermes, I'm not sure we would have survived. But even they were being overwhelmed by Valvados' unbelievable power. I stepped forward to help them. At the time, I had developed the ability to heal injuries, but the magic I used was different. There was a song in my heart, and I set it free. My true powers flared to life with the melody. Suddenly, Hermes was aglow with renewed strength. With a burst of speed and power that did justice to his name, he buried his sword in the Fellwyrm's heart. My mentor reached out to me afterwards, offering to take me (and my brother) on as an Apprentice. Let's...not reopen that wound. You all know what happened afterwards. '''Who, outside of the team, supports your burgeoning star in every way possible?''' That describes quite a few people in my life, really. I guess I should consider myself lucky. Even if things didn't work out with Patch, I'm grateful to have been his student. He was just so infuriating. This is a man who lives in constant, avoidable pain out of a need to do penance. I keep trying to convince him to find help, but he never listens. Hellion...Riley, on the other hand...he kept his promise to me. When I needed him, he was there. Not much else needs to be said. Besides, I think you had someone in mind when you asked this question. According to the cast page on my site, Ruby pulls double duty as my adorable animal companion, and serious, demanding mentor who insists on calling me "kid". It's not all an act, but there's far more to her than meets the eye. Ruby, that is, Cherub of the Winged Nine is an Empyrean Dragon (in contrast, the Fellwyrm is an Infernal Dragon). The pink kitty form is just a way for her to conserve energy. Logres Multimedia provides me with cameras, but Ruby handles most of my logistics and gear. '''Who, outside of the team, loathes what you represent?''' I thought Hermes had died after being mortally wounded by the Fellwyrm. But he's alive. So is Valvados. Er, sort of. I mean, he isn't really alive now, but...look, to tell you that story, I have to tell you about the Network. If you've heard of them, forget what they say about freedom or taking charge of your own destiny. They're a social media group for mercenaries and gunrunners. Nothing more. I won't deny the Network has done some good in the past. But they've made a business of helping some of the worst villains out there. And Hermes is their de facto leader. So much for no rules, no masters. I can't begin to imagine what he's after. When I confronted Hermes, he only said my ideals would lead me to nothing but trouble. That I didn't have what it would take to save the world. Then he sicced Valvados on me...oh, right. So, Valvados became a lich. And a member of the Network. And he tore a chunk out of my life energy, taking some of my magic with it. Hermes is in possession of my song, now. I'm not happy about it, of course, but...he can't use it. The Anthem, as my mentor called it, can only be cast on someone the user truly cares for. You have to want to give that person the power to reach for the stars. I'm hoping that someday, Hermes will learn to cast the Anthem, and return to being the hero he was meant to be. '''Why do you care about the team?''' They trust me, and they believe in me. Many people have dismissed me as little more than an actor on a web show. They doubt that I'm worthy of being called a magic user or hero. But the team were willing to help me fight the good fight. They're more than just teammates. They're my friends.
