== Background Materiel and Mission Briefing ==

A week ago you were all serving in diverse assignments across Poseiden in the Service of the GEO Patrol. That had all changed when you received new orders to report to the Colony town of Atlantis in the New Hawaii chain. The orders further stated you would be leaving your present assignment and returning to Uniformed Patrol. Apparently,the GEO Justice Commission is attempting to get a handle on Smuggling, the Pharium trade and begin providing more basic police services to the people living in the New Hawaii Archipelago. 

You hadn't even a chance to find living arrangements beyond the hotel when your group was called in to a briefing with the New Marshal, Rachel Lightfoot.  The diminutive yet oddly intense and dangerous looking middleaged woman both welcomed you to Atlantis while explaining that you'd best not start unpacking just yet.  She was assigning you to temporary duty almost 1000Km north, to yet another colonial town called Rio Bravo. A place none of you had ever heard of. 

Marshal Lightfoot went on to explain in her no-nonsense style how Rio Bravo is a hub for the clandestine Pharium crops that are grown in the hilly jungle clearings farther up the Rio Bravo River and slopes of the Kiluea range. Its said the strain derived Pharium or "Kiluea Derivative" or just "KD" as its known on the street, that grows on these hills has some of the highest euphoric inducing content and is sought after by buyers at least as far south as Haven. If the rumours are to be believed, the Gorchoff Syndicate has many growing and smuggling connections among the small time producers in the area and are highly protective of their interests here due to the lucrative nature of this cash crop. 

Your primary mission is to gain intelligence about the Pharium growing and smuggling operations in the Rio Bravo Area, Disrupt those activities if possible and provide any other police services to the citizens of Rio Bravo, nearby Natives and Incorporates as well. Your to be her eyes and ears and her long arm of the law in and around Rio Bravo. Obviously, the marshal explained your only going to be able to deal with the major crimes for the most part and she understands that, just use your good judgement and discretion and take care of the law abiding folks up there.
 
Marshal Light foot went on to say accomedations have been arranged at the GEO's Comm and Sat uplink site on Hellbender hill, near the town.
