==History== * Is the daughter of a Seer who makes a profession out of turning Sleepers into perfect servants and dolls, destroying their minds and rebuilding them to the requests of the highest bidder. Amarantha herself was named after the unfading flower, and isn't quite sure how old she really is. Her mother has kept celebrating the same birthday for her over the last several years. *On the days her mother was out, Amarantha would try to figure out the boundaries of her cage, until finally, she actually picked the lock to the backyard garden. She explored it for a few hours before finding a rabbit hole her size... and didn't enter that day. It took a few days before the girl felt comfortable enough to crawl on her hands and knees in her fancy clothes, ruining them as she scrambled into the soft soil, deeper and deeper. *It felt like days as she climbed though, hunger and curiosity driving her on as she kept digging, ignoring how much it drained her as it made her feel truly alive, an adventure, until she climbed upward, out until the moon in a vast grove covered with dolls, some broken, others whole, but all abandoned. She looked about and found a stone book carved into the tallest tree. Without a tool to write with, Amarantha picked up a broken doll's porcelain arm and used it as chalk. *With a sense of accomplishment, Amarantha started to walk back to the rabbithole before something caught her eye, a doll with a missing arm hobbling towards her. Even as she was filled with an animal's fear, Amarantha stood her ground, walking forward with the arm she had written with, kneeling down to help reattach the arm to it and picking the toy up before going home under the empty night sky. *However, as she came home, Amarantha could feel danger screaming in her mind, her nerves reacting to an unseen menace. She stood in the garden for a moment, before fleeing, mindlessly running with her new Familar in her arms. It was sure fortune that had the Pentacle discover her first, two Masters with their students at a diner, talking about a strange dream involving the two students and a smaller third. To the Masters' shock, the third, Amarantha, came rushing by. *The Mysterium and the Guardians of the Veil both tried to convince the young girl to join, only to fail after she met a member of the Free Council creating an ornate gyroscope, the young mage falling in love with Creating things. (Though she prefers making dolls and has been trying to create a way to make vessels for spirits.) *Amarantha even picked a new name and identity for herself, the name Alice Collodi after her Awakening and another meaning she hasn't explained, but there are still problems. Alice is not exactly the most humble of mages, being accustomed to a horror-inflicting Seer of the Throne for a mother and not really having interaction with other kids. Oh, she's learning, but being 14, even with Life magic, doesn't exactly help the whole concept of not being immortal (or close to it).
