===Hunting the Hunter (Completed)=== The crew of the ''Falco'' were requisitioned by the local authorities to exterminate a particularly wily pirate known only as the "Ghost Raider." After entering the "Ghost"s hunting grounds, the intrepid pirate-hunters pretend to be a stricken vessel ejected from the Warp and headed into a nearby ancient battlefield, filled with debris. The mysterious pirate, soon revealed to be the infamous Johnny "Shack" Sterro piloting his vessel the ''Void Gem,'' took the bait and followed them in, only to find them waiting with loaded guns. A few lucky hits sent the pirate careening helplessly through the debris field without sensors or retro-thrusters, causing even more damage to himself than the Explorers did with their macro-weapons. Barely alive, the pirate managed to escape the debris-field alive and ran for dear life. The Explorers immediately gave chase, eager to finish the fight. After some narrow escapes and harrowing exhibits of pilot's skill by both the voidmistress and the pirate captain, the chase was brought to a close as the ''Falco'' slammed itself broadside-to-broadside with the ''Gem'' and the explorers boarded her, making short work of the remaining crew as they either fled or surrendered. Unfortunately, the stubborn captain refused to give up and holed himself up inside his bridge for a last-ditch effort. It fell to the Explorers to flush him out, resulting in a furious battle between them and the pirate's two Battle Servitors. However the Explorers were more than a match for their adversaries and defeated them. The pirate, sensing that he was about to lose, played his trump card: a dead-man's switch, which corresponded to an intricate network of melta-charges placed around the Enginarium and Warp Drive. His desperate gambit was not enough however, and his arm was cut off by the Lord-Captain, followed by the Seneschal blowing him away in a bloody spray of gore. As a sign of divine blessing on the Explorers' actions, the blood trails left by the dying man formed the rough shape of the Emperor's Aquila. The victorious crew then took command of the ''Void Gem'' and under the direct guidance of the pirates' own helpful magos, they found and looted their hidden base. In the process, they made an incredible discovery: a rich, virgin system, discovered by ancient Thulians and reported to contain a planet with staggering amounts of wealth, knowledge, and danger. Elated by this discovery, the Explorers returned to Port Wander with their stash and proceeded to spend Gelt and other resources in preparation for an even greater journey into the stars...
