*The passions of the Lawgivers are mighty, and can trample fear and timidity into the dust. Whenever a Solar who knows this Charm would be able to channel his Valor to aid an action championing a person or ideal he possesses a positive Intimacy for, he may channel his Compassion instead. However, the Solar also feels compelled to respond when such things are challenged or insulted in his presence and must suppress his Compassion in order not to react to such things, as per the normal rules for having a highly rated Virtue. Suppressing his Compassion in this way causes the Solar to forfeit the benefits of this Charm for the rest of the scene.
