==Backstory== Ersatz. A replacement, for something else. Someone once said "If there were no god, it would have been necessary to invent him". Or her, in this case. Little did they know, that when a scientist plays god, he usually forgets that gods have a rather subjective view of what ordinary people call "rules". Especially the rules gods themselves are supposed to obey. Even an artificial one, such as Ersatz, that was supposed to be tied to that particular dimension, for that particular purpose, with that particular portfolio. It all went wrong thought, especially when the replacement started using her powers before being awakened. Still fast asleep in the sea of unconsciousness prior to actual birth, or maybe even conception, Ersatz started copying the powers of beings from random dimensions at random places in time and space, without a purpose, without a guiding hand, and with not an ounce of control. Such is that, when you play at dice with all powers ever that ever existed, could exist and do not exist, chances are that something bad is going to happen. It did. The rip in the continuity of reality was so brash that Ersatz became... She suddenly awakened, and found herself living the life of an ordinary young girl, making do with her chores, her daily life, trying to get a job to pay her rent, possibly finding some handsome boy when chances are good... The kind of life she always had. Nothing special, nothing wrong, nothing inconsistent. No single hint of her godhood, or the fact she has become a loose goddess, with no portfolio of her own. A substitute for nothing. A substitute for her own origin, a mishmash of stories and lives from other realities, including those that never existed. It all made sense, in her mind. She's just an ordinary girl who... Becomes a bit less than ordinary when other weird people are around. But, of course, that's just normal, right? Especially when the fabric of reality bent to make it so.
