==Background==
Yui is a rebel with a cause, into punk music and radical left-wing politics. This has caused her problems at school and tension with her parents. She says she doesn’t care, but secretly, she wishes people would accept her—and her beliefs. Indeed, she became a rebel because of her experiences being bullied for her social awkwardness. She is good with computers and likes to call herself a hacker. In practice, she’s more of a white-hat, providing tech support and security for local activist groups. She doesn’t have the skills to do things like steal information from the government or big corporations, at least not yet. She leaped at the chance to become a magical girl because she thought she would have the opportunity to make the world a better place.<br>

She recently woke up one morning to find everyone shocked by her presence—everyone believed she had died the day before. This, of course, is more than a little disturbing to her. She wonders if she was able to use her powers to hack to reality to erase her own death or use her door powers to step through to an alternate reality—but somehow lost all memory of it.
