'''Archivist-Receives-Request''' – The First of the 111 Forms of the TruePower, and oddly the most overlooked by many contemporary practitioners of the Martial Art. Truly regarded by the Masters as “Form Zero”, it is the stance of empowerment and preparation the Archivists of the Magister Rag-111 must take prior to receiving a request for data retrieval at one of the 1,111 Worlds’ Centers of Transcendent Learning and associated satellite facilities, and is used to prepare the Archivist for the channeling of energy and TruePower that the request they are about to receive will generate. Without a solid mastery of this Form an Archivist risks implant or neural burnout from the various Flows that will be received, and should not be allowed to progress to any of the later forms. Some subversive and “radical” dojos of TruePower find that a wider knowledge of the later Forms make Archivist-Receives-Request redundant, however prolonged cataloguing and data retrieval has shown that these non-classicist practitioners will weaken faster and have a higher final de-rez rate than their more proper counterparts.

The Form is abrupt and rigid, and sees none of the fluidity and grace of the later forms, as it is required to hold out against the Flows and build the Archivists’ resistance, strengthening and adapting the Flows to their purpose within The System. The Form starts with the Archivist in Supplication, preparing to receive the Request and humbling themselves before The System. Once the Request is received, the Archivist must move backwards to begin to align themselves with the Flows. Once the Flows begin preliminary alignment with the Archivist I.C.E. will begin their defences, which the Archivist must ward off. With the I.C.E. surmounted, the Archivist may finally raise their eyes to gaze into The System Core and enter Form Two.
