Editing Alani the Fearless

Investigating reports of a sea monster linked to the disappearance of several fishing boats, Alani stumbles across the lair of a gang of fugitive jewel thieves lead by the sinister Doctor Phasmagore, a mad scientist (played, against type, by Academy Award winner Wallace Beery) who has been controlling the beast using a Hypno-ray. When it becomes clear that Phasmagore covets the Eye of Tangaroa, one of the island's sacred treasures, for more than just its monetary value, Alani must team up with dashing G-man Chuck Barton who has pursued the gang from the mainland to foil the Mad Doctor's schemes for world domination.
