* Dark Dawn: It looks like the end of the world is near, as the full might of the Berserkers descend upon Earth. Very few beings (Upstart, Tagton, The Living Nebula) actually know what they are, but regardless, Earth's defenses are vastly outmatched. In the face of such astronomically superior odds, can the heroes figure out a way to save the day?

What of the aliens who have come to Earth, then?

* Phantom has never been outside the solar system, and doesn't know about the Berserkers (see The truth of mutation).

* Tagton knows that the Berserkers are headed toward Earth. He has realized that many archeologists and art collectors across the galaxy would be interested in the artwork of a lost race; his operations on Earth have generally been aimed at accumulating a hoard of artworks he can sell as soon as he leaves the planet. He has kept the Berserkers' existence a secret, obviously.

* Garzor's people, the Gashren, are a race so technologically advanced that they have decided to escape from the galaxy and the looming threat of the Berserkers. They have built a gigantic ship, called the Exodus in their languages, which is made of the assembly of a thousand O'neill cylinders, housing billions of Gashren that it carries at relativistic speed. The Exodus is home to all the Gashren civilizations that decided to flee the Milky Way - as such, it is separated in dozens, possibly hundreds, of societies and governments.

Garzor himself is a minor nobleman from a relatively backward nation of the Exodus - one that still clings to an antiquated feudal model. Having older siblings, Garzor is not his family's heir, and as such, is looking for a way to prove his worth to his people.

The Berserkers and Earth may give him the opportunity he seeks: Despite all the Gashren's effort, the Exodus is not quite as fast as the robotic swarm. It is unclear whether or not they will manage to escape. In order to guarantee the Gashren's survival, Garzor's goal was to conquer the Earth (a world on the swarm's path) and remake it into a trap - one designed to cost the Berserkers precious time, allowing the Exodus to increase its headstart.

Plot seeds:

* Voyage to the Exodus: Venture Industries have figured out to use Madman's technology to jump across light-years without the speed of light's limitation. Their first use of this technology will be sending the heroes on an exploration mission (with just enough stealth to hide the fact they're jumping at FTL speeds) to a massive object observed in space - an object which turns out to be the Exodus. How will the heroes interact with the various Gashren cultures, with Garzor, with Garzor's political rivals, with the Gashren gods? Will they learn of the Berserkers' existence? Obtain Gashren technology - some of which is superior to anything Garzor ever had at his disposal?

* Third Time's the Charm: An alien battleship reaches Earth, presenting themselves as long-time enemies of Garzor, and offering an alliance in the face of his imminent return. Unfortunately, it's a trap - the new aliens are a creation of Garzor, who has decided to put a lot more cunning into his third invasion. When the warlord attacks, the technology offered by his pawns to the Earth's heroes neutralize them all. Can the player characters still stop the invasion?
