[[The_Sheltered_Hand|Back to Main Page]] ‘’The Anathema’’ Whether through trickery, betrayal, or some other means, some Gods do exist within the Hand who are opposed to The Creed. These are The Anathema. Worship of any Anathema is forbidden by The Creed, as well as the Gods of the Creed. The Anathema are not named by the devout, even with curses. Most, even those who are not devout, will not name them either, for fear of calling them or their pall. That said, some scholars do know their names, and even Anathema have those who would follow them, either for power or ideals. '''''Mathen''''' Those of Mathen’s followers who have been captured have claimed that Mathen is simply a goddess of Wisdom and Justice who stands opposed to the Creed for reasons of those ideals. The Creed calls such claims foolish, and notes that her followers seek often to pull down the rulers and nobles anointed by the Creed and those Gods who follow the Creed. '''''Tenga''''' Tenga is a god of Chaos, Trickery and Deceit. Even its followers acknowledge that. It claims to have been at home in the Sheltered Hand since before Carran’s coming, though some scholars claim that it joined Carran only to betray the cause – though not how it betrayed the cause. '''''The White Flame''''' No name is ever given for this God. Not even his followers know his name. They claim that he is the god above all gods, and that Carran was initially following his will, but that the other gods then turned against him, binding him and burying him. His followers seek to bring him back to his proper place. [[The_Sheltered_Hand|Back to Main Page]]
