His initiation led him to Orlanth adventurous though, not Elmal as might be expected, for he lacked the dedication, fire and truthful nature of those men. Instead he rode out and headed East, in the train of his father, an important Thane of the clan. Off to find new bloodlines for their Clan's herd and possible allies with the Tribes of the Eastern edge of Sartar. Unlike his father, Roan didn't come back. He stayed........ First traveling with the Pol Joni, and then a member of a fierce warband of the Verge, made up of Men of The Dundealos Tribe and their Pol Joni allies. He fought his way up and down the edge of Prax, fighting Uz and Torkani to the North, Dedra to the East , and finally the Lunars to the West. Then, one day a rider returned to the wetlands of the Narri, A follower of Ulanin, astride a Sered stallion, a foreign Horse, larger than the Galana ponies of the clan. The swirls of Orlanth upon it's dusty flanks , it spoke as if a man. Stories followed, some heroic, some unkind, of a warband destroyed and a lone survivor.... Roan found himself under his Uncle's protection... His father dead, from an ill fated excursion to the Upland Marsh. So now, a housecarl to a near stranger and in a land barely remembered.... Highly competitive, the once mercenary, has stirred up his clan, especially amongst those Elmali which follow Beren. He's rangy like his horse; fast, competitive and not worried where his armbands come from. He's trouble and needs ruling with an Iron grip.
