Traumatised and violent, the child welfare services took notice of her and, when they realised that her mother was incapable of caring for her, they took her away to an orphanage. That was only the start of Auggie's troubles. Unwilling to accept being taken from her mother (as dysfunctional as her relationship with her was), Auggie ran away from her foster homes several times; invariably, her temper and violent outbursts would see her outstay her welcome and get sent back to the orphanage, until a new set of foster parents would decide to try to tame this wild child. When she reached puberty, matters only got worse as men began to notice her blooming body; her abuse went unheeded, as the orphanage administration kept such matters quiet, preferring to pretend they didn't happen. She escaped a final time at the age of 17; this time, perhaps, the orphanage was not very motivated in finding her. She found herself homeless, on the streets; her mother had drunk herself into a coma, her father had abandoned her, and she had systematically burnt all her bridges with social welfare. Things might have turned out badly for her had she not attracted the attention of a Tzimisce named Elizabetha; the latter was a Bishop in the southern USA and a dedicated adherrent to the Path of Metamorphosis, and it noted Auggie's strong will to defy the odds and walk her own path, whatever the cost. As part of an experiment, it Embraced Augustine, curious to see how she would adapt to the Sabbat, and if she could be moulded into a potent Cainite. The experiment was, from Elizabetha's point of view, a failure; though sharp and a quick learner, Auggie refused to accept the principle of her sire. Elizabetha came close to destroying its childe, but Auggie had managed to befriend some Ferals, whose lifestyle felt more acceptable to her the alien introspection of Metamorphosis; Elizabetha decided to give up on the experiment for now, and return to the south. Perhaps it might take up the experiment again, at some point in the future, but for now it has more important matters to attend to. Augustine learnt the philosophy of the Path of the Feral Heart from the packs she first ran with; it allowed her to renconcile many aspects of her past and her rebellious nature with her new vampiric existence. Now, she sees her position in the pack as that of Bravo: the second in command, the bully, the bad cop who keeps the new recruits in line. ===Appearance=== Augustine is tall and lithe; like many Tzimisce, she alters her appearance regularly. ===Equipment=== Cat-like retractable claws (Str L) Reinforced clothing (armour 1) ===Notes=== Freebies: Talents 2, Skills 2, Backgrounds 4, Willpower 2, Merits 5 Experience: 0
