Raised in a semi-successful pack on Ruchi that was known for supplying solid, capable soldiers for the planets Navy, Axminster worked hard as a youth to exemplify his packs reputation. Unfortunately, after the death of the clan leader, Wynston, he found himself pretty much alone when the majority chose to move on. He chose instead to offer out his services to the planetary Marine services and ended up in an all-Horchog unit made up of those with similar situations, lacking a true pack to call home. He has managed to resolve this issue by seeking 'worthy' human groups to graft himself to [worthy being a relative term], and fell in with a youthful smuggler who's morals seemed similar to his own. The fact that he likes chatting about the tools of his calling [violence as art] has helped to form a bond with his once employer and current friend.

Axminster finds space fascinating and humans hugely amusing, especially their convoluted moral flexibility. While he is not the brightest spark, he has an aesthetic appreciation of the rawness and revelatory nature of sudden, violent conflict that forms the core of his philosophy [though he would struggle to put it in words]. Axminster absolutely loathes cruelty, even more than most of his kind, but is fond of disbursing lessons as to why it is wrong, rather than goig for quick kills. This produces the odd effect of him occasionally replicating the kind of cruel acts that he sees performed by others, but only as a revealing lesson and only for very short periods of time [normally enough time for said offender to 'get' the nature of the lesson, shortly before being dispatched].
Similarly, he is open and honest in his dealings with humans- friend, foe or victim, and very polite [which given the Horchog predilection for grossly amoral acts by human standards, can be quite chilling]. He expects civilized humans to understand Horchog ways, but can be prone to giving cultural demonstrations to the ignorant - if they threaten his pack.

He will never use an Axe and finds human jokes about his names to be a form of bullying. He reacts to this...poorly.

Axminster is conscious of his appearance to humans and prefers everything in earth tones, unless it's 'down time', in which case he likes to dress/fur up in vibrant purpley/contrasting colors, the more complexity in the patterns the better.
