Mama Nguyen is an avid student of the occult and of the powers and creatures that lurk beyond the veil of our world, a place she refers to as the Neverwhen. By day, she is a fishwife in the London Markets, but that is a thing she does to put food in her belly and allow her to track the things that mortals are not meant to follow.

:'''Puck:''' Though he looks like a dirty little boy who likes to hang around the muddy banks of the river, Mama thinks he is something else altogether. She has no proof, but her suspicions weigh heavy.

==Background==
Mama Nguyen was born among French Colonials in her native country of Vietnam and raised there through her childhood, her wedding to a fishmonger's son, and the birth of their three daughters. And though Nguyen always worked hard and saw to her responsibilities, there was a wildness and wanderlust about her, and she spent all her spare moments hunting the creatures of the Neverwhen and tracking the leak of their powers from beyond the veil.

She still believes she once met one of the Twisted Ones who lived with one foot in the Mortal Realm and one foot in the Neverwhen. It had touched her brow and made her sleep. It had left her something terrible.

Still the incident had not dissuaded her hunts. It only made her more sure there was something to hunt. But her husband had had an opportunity for work, first in Paris and then in London, and she and her daughters had dutifully followed.

It was not long before she discovered the Neverwhen leaked through in this new land as well. She had even met a thing that had giggled and told her what the Twisted One had cursed or gifted her with.
