--Note; This document is very much in flux. Chapters will be constructed of the existing pages when more of the game is completed. Please feel free to comment, question, copy-edit, or otherwise engage. When complete, Beyond the Veil will be a Live Action Roleplaying Game. Centered around the politics and interactions of player characters who are spiritual beings, including Angels, Demons, and Elementals, that exist in a Realm parallel to the material world. This place is separated by a "veil" which generally prevents direct interaction. These characters exists and gain strength, influence, and authority through the substance of the material realm and energy produced by material beings. These resources are collected and manipulated to create other game effects through various Powers. The system uses a turn based conflict resolution mechanic when characters clash in a way that is direct and non-negotiable. NOTE: A different Live Action Roleplaying Game called Beyond the Veil ran from 2007 to 2009 in Southern California. This was a dark fantasy game run by Andrew Rowe, which has more recently evolved into the Shades of Ruin campaign, which is still ongoing at this time.
