Back to [[Tekumel]] The Black Stone are found all over the empire in middle management and professional positions. Unlike the Black Monolith and most of the other Black clans they have members who follow all five of the Change gods, not just the Dark Trinity of Hru'u, Ksarul and Sarku. Many Black Stones in Tumissa follow Vimuhla, who is very popular locally, and were supporters of the Red clans during the civil war when they took over the administration of [[Tumissa]]. The temple of Ksarul thus regards the Black Stone a little less highly than the more solidly Ksarulite Black clans, as they did not back Preistly faction efforts to establish a council of high priests to govern Tumissa during the emergency. The rule of the Red clans did not last long in the event, and at least Tumissa saw no large scale interfaith rioting, as happened in other cities. Black Stone's relations with the [[Ito]] are a little cool. Black Stone are among the many ambitious urban middle class clans who resent the Ito dominance of local rural government. The Sarku temple in the Chakas has two major factions, pro-Ito and Royalist and anti-Ito and Imperialist; Black Stone Sarku worshippers are of the latter ilk and wish to see the Temple and Imperial bueracracy freed from the influence of the local aristocracy. For their part the Ito have no opinion about the Black Stone one way or the other; they are just too low class to be bothered with, just yet another mainly urban clan whose support they lost centuries ago when they lost their kingdom. The main business of the Black Stones in Tumissa is as merchants providing goods to the Tsolyani military, and they have done well out of the recent conflicts. They use the [[Deep Basket]] clan as porters in this enterprise. The Black Stone also have a clanhouse in [[Yi'ita]], and near there one high lineage of the family runs a farm estate they acquired from an Ito supporter after the 2020 rebellion. ===People=== Njashte [[Joruna hiHuru]], head accountant, Tumissa, Temple of Ksarul [[Kir'él]], merchant [[Hakkusa hiVaisura]], merchant [[Dzai hiJurunai]], Clan Elder [[Kalume hiMeshkutáne]], Clan Elder [[Ormai hiVaisura]], Clan Elder [[Ili hiMeshkutáne]], clan girl
