:I’d like her background to not be evil, so if possible, Yuan-Ti in Chult who have broken away from the cults, and Callie is traveling in part to prove that you don’t need to be an evil scheming cultist to succeed in life. (Absolutely room for evil Yuan-Ti elsewhere or even as an enemy working against her — just her background is “good, raised by good,” not “good, fled evil society.

:I wanted to play against the "Evil Sinister Snake-Person with Strong Yellow Peril Undercurrent" stereotype that is being discussed in the D&D subforum, so I figured I'd make Callie good. Since we're in the Forgotten Realms, I guess she's still from some city across the sea (Chult? Is Kara-Tur still a thing?), and I have her making her way as a moderately successful artist who does intricate weaving, and trying to make inroads here on behalf of her trading guild. She is a faithful follower of (SOME GOD/DESS I WILL FIND WHO REPRESENTS ART/WEAVING AND IS GOOD) and uses her martial training to help when she encounters evil that needs punching.
