* A large chunk of an alien biological space vessel impacted in the Pacific Ocean off the California coast.  May or may not have caused a tsunami.
* Bobby Smiles detonated in a thermonuclear holocaust and caused massive destruction through direct blast damage and secondary earthquakes in southern California.  The exact death toll is not known, but is assumed to be high.
