This category is one of the [[Motivational Posters:Main Page|Motivational Posters]] meme categories. This category is '''Cat vs Commoner'''. In the early editions of D&D and AD&D, there was a commoner, a person of little training or combat experience representing the large collection of peasants. In game terms, this lowly personage had but a handful of hit points. There was also a listing for a cat, a creature frequently used as a familiar to wizards. In game terms, the lowly cat was capable of attacking and inflicting only a few hit points of damage. Then someone realized the damage done by the cat was capable killing this lowly commoner. Thus is born a meme, where the cats are out to kill all the commoners, and the commoners must fight back in any way they can.
