Editing Celeren

"They built my beautiful Celeren in the days of the Shogunate, and the styles of that age echo in the smooth pavestones of her streets and the sweeping arcs of her tiled roofs.  I would like to think that one of my ancestors, some sadly forgotten earth aspect, had a hand in her design, but my family were little better than nomads then, living on the fringes of the world; not strong, like we are now.  

"It was that strength that let us change Celeren.  We were the first in after the armies from Lookshy drove back the Realm, and we stripped the city back to its roots; we buried the satrap's mansion beneath a mound of dirt and set an orchard growing on top, doubled the size of the prized decorative ponds to replace the koi with delicious perch and hung everywhere our bright orange and yellow banners.  

"We bound even the great Manse to our geomantic will.  We painted green columns over in red, uprooted willows and installed great brass lanterns in their place and built over a grass ampitheater with marble benches.  What began as wood, we set ablaze.  

"Let [[Lookshy]] have their grand Shogunate-era spires and [[Great Forks]] its Heaven-inspired forums; let Nexus have its falling First Age splendors.  Let them all have their maddened crowds.  I have already the only thing I could ever want: the city that my father's built and made their own."
