'''History:'''Ted Colt's family isn't really fond of super-heroes; his father talks about the dangers they pose towards themselves and the general populace, while his brother will occassionally go on rants about how reckless they are when watching news clips on the television. Considering Ted has just developed some pretty amazing super-powers, loves reading comics and talking about heroes, and wants nothing more than to put on a costume to fight crime... this may be a problem. What Ted doesn't know is that his older brother was once the teen hero Grasshopper and his father the town sheriff. Ted's brother, Craig, accidentally killed a man when stopping a crime, and although the man was a criminal it was something the boy never recovered from. Thomas, their law enforcement father, helped keep his son out of prison and used his connections to keep the whole thing quiet; the local officials understood the circumstances and were in no hurry to go after the young hero. Thomas and Craig, though, have been careful to discourage any possible interest in superheroes in young Ted in the hopes that if he does develop powers he will use them carefully and not go smashing around playing hero. Craig is a rather quiet guy, without many friends, and spends much of his time studying non-aggressive martial arts. Ted, though, is convinced that his newfound abilities are from his mother's side of the family; an "international security consultant" who had a brief stint in law enforcement and was killed in a mysterious plane crash, she does seem a likely secret identity for some female hero or secret agent. He wants to continue what he hopes is something like her legacy, and get to be the kind of person he's always wanted to be. So he hides his new interests from his family, tries to discover the truth about his mother, and is generally learning the ropes of this whole hero thing. He doesn't know what he's in for, considering his family's past... and not just his brother's recent history... Because his abilities do come from ''somewhere''. '''Sheet:''' Hero Name: Champion, Real Name: Theodore Colt, Age: 15, Height: 5'11", Weight: 138 pounds or so, PL: 8, Hero Points: 4 Abilities: Str 20, Dex 20, Con 18, Int 12, Wis 14, Cha 10 Saves: Dmg 12, Fort 4, Ref 10, Will 2 Defense: 28 (8 Base, +5 Dex, +5 S.S., +10) Attack: +9/+9 (4 Base, +5 Str/+5 Dex) Initiative: 14 Feats: Rapid Strike Improved Initiative Dodge Evasion Identity Change (Costume) Move-By Attack Skills: Ranks/Total Knowledge:Trivia - 2/3, Listen - 2/4, Spot - 4/6, Bluff - 2/2, Computers - 2/3, Jump - 2/8, Acrobatics - 2/7 Powers: Super-Speed x5, Super-Strength x1, Amazing Save: Damage x8 Movement: 55 Base (around 6mph), 1,760 Sprint (around 200mph) '''Appearance:''' A sort of thin, but very well-muscled (imagine the old scrawny Peter Parker in the old comics or Ultimate Spider-Man), kid that wears loose clothes and looks a little geeky. He plays D&D with his friends, reads comics, and is trying to keep his brother and father from finding out about his new past-time. He wants to be a hero, just like he thinks his mom was and he reads about in the news/comics. He's got blonde hair and blue eyes. In-costume he wears a open-haired face-mask with light-blue lenses over the eyes (taken from a favorite pair of sunglasses), that has a large mouth opening but generally covers everything from the neck to the hair in black. The chest is a crest of red-on-black with a golden shield in the center (holding stylized eagle-wings stretching out from the middle), that leads in a broad red stripe down the front of the body and inside of the legs (all the way to the boots) and is bordered by black. He also wears fingerless black gloves at the end of the costume's long sleeves.
