__TOC__ = About the Houses of Chaos = The Courts of Chaos consist of the Major Houses and the Minor Houses. Major Houses are Houses with the Blood of the Serpent, tracing their line to the Children of the Serpent. Minor Houses are Houses without the Blood of the Serpent tracing their line back to ennoble citizens of the Courts of Chaos. Among the Major Houses stand the Six Great Houses: House Helgram, House Hendrake, House Minobee, House Chanicat, House Jesby and House Sawal. The other Major Houses were founded by the sons and daughters of the Kings and Queens of Chaos, by permission of the Sovereign. Founding of a House has a price, renunciation of succession. But some of the children of the Kings and Queens of Chaos preferred to rule a House in their lifetime over the hope for their scions to ascend to the Throne. There is a great ongoing debate among the Major Houses if all Major Houses should be entered into the cycle of succession or not. The Heads of the Great House hold the title Duke / Duchess. The Heads of the other Major Houses hold the title Count / Countess The Heads of the Minor Houses hold the title of Baron / Baroness. Minor Houses are not Lords and Ladies of Chaos. They are the lower nobility of the Courts. But Minor Houses have acquired a lot of power in the Courts of Chaos. There number is greater then the number of the Major Houses. The have started to rival them in wealth and political power. = Return to Houses of Chaos = [[Chaos_Rising:Houses_of_Chaos | Houses of Chaos ]]
