= Addressing =


Correctly addressing a Lord or Lady of Chaos is complicated.

It depends all on rank and standing and how polite you want to be and if you already have given a greeting or have been given an introduction, if you want to show familiarity, if you are on friendly terms or not.
After proper greeting is given, excluding the Sovereign, the Head of a House and the children of the Sovereign, usually a Lady Zava is sufficient. Be careful whom you address with a simply cousin Joris, even if Joris happens to be your cousin (first to third grade).

The member of the Major Houses all hold the title of Prince or Princess of Chaos and can be addressed as Prince or Princess or just Your Highness but since there are so many Lords on Ladies of Chaos, that is seldom done.

The King or Queen of Chaos is addressed as Your Majesty or very short Sire (Sire even used for a Queen).

The children of a King or Queen of Chaos hold the title Prince or Princess of the Royal House of Chaos and are addressed as Prince or Princess or Your Royal Highness.

Any other member of the Royal House of Chaos hold the title Lady or Lord of the Royal House of Chaos and are addressed as Lord or Lady or Your Highness.

For a Major House it would be like shown on the example of House Helgram

The Head of House Helgram holds the title Duke and can be addressed as Lord Helgram, Duke Lennox, Lord Lennox Helgram, Duke Lennox Helgram.
It is never Duke Lennox of Helgram.

The Head of a Major House is the House.

Any member of House Helgram holds the title Lord or Lady of House Helgram and the proper address would be Lady Zava of Helgram, Lady Zava, or Your Highness. Since Lady Zava is also the Heir of House Helgram she also can be adressed as Lady Zava Helgram (But not as Lady Helgram).

For a Minor Houses it would be like shown on the example of House Ravinac.

The Head of House Ravinac holds the title Baroness and is addressed as Baroness Sacha of Ravinac, Lady Sacha of Ravinac or Lady Sacha.

The Head of a Minor House represents the House.

Any member of House Ravinac holds the title Sir or Dame of House Ravinac and is addresses as Sir Veres of Ravinac/Dame Gulya of Ravinac, Sir Veres/Dame Gulya or Sir/Madame.
