Born on the fortress world of Cadia, Avidius grew up without knowing how to be anything but a soldier. After his tour in the White Shields, he was thrown onto the front lines of Cadia's never-ending war with the forces of the Eye of Terror. In the years that followed, he proved over and over that he was a survivor, and was inducted into the ranks of the Karskin Grenadiers.

What followed was common for Storm Trooper companies, he was shipped from one war zone after another. After every planet, his company dwindled. One was a death world, with a air so polluted that when his Rebreather was damage, it damaged his heart. Another world cost him his right arm at the hands of an Ork. Both were replaced.

Finally arriving in the Calixis Sector, his company now numbering a scant 20 men, he was singled out by an Inquisitor, who thought his combat experience was just what she needed.

Avidius is a quiet man, whose skills at infiltration are second to none. Not the most sociable of people, he tends to work best with those whose skills complement his own, and don't feel a need to fill the silence. But when not currently engaged in a mission, tends to be friendly, if not exactly open.

After several missions, his Inquisitor took him to the nearest Med-Center, tired of having to strain to hear him.
