* Name: Ishmael Cain * Rank: 9 * Careers: Assassin/Crusader * Background: Ishmael began as a hired sword for a gang. Life was so cheap in the underhive he had to kill two men to afford the rent for a single night in his sleeping-cell. He committed murder, daily, just to eat. The act became as natural as breathing. Ishmael's blade was like an extension of himself before he reached puberty. The by time he was a teenager Ishmael had been recruited into a front organization for one of the Imperial assassin temples. He was an expert killer but his nihilism and borderline blasphemous tendancies made him an unsuitable candidate for advancement. It seemed like he would be a useful tool for the rest of his life, but nothing more. His particular ideosyncracies made him especially useful as a disposable pawn, and eventually Ishmael found himself on a mission he was never expected to survive. The target turned out to be a powerful psyker, and would have killed Ishmael had he not had a religious experience at that very moment. He felt part of something larger for the first time in the life, an instrument of will. Filled with religious fervor he killed the psyker, losing an eye in the process. This moment singularly redefined the way Ishmael viewed the universe and his place in it. Since then Ishmael has been a devout follower of the Imperial Creed, and a desperately sought atonement for his past. He eventually found it in one of the Crusader Houses. He is now single-mindedly dedicated to his duty.

Ishmael is extremely ashamed of his past. He seeks to atone for his crimes by serving the God Emperor with absolute faith and conviction. Ishmael is the kind of "new money" faithful who often comes off as excessively rigid and stubborn in his beliefs. Ishmael especially hates heretics because they remind him of himself.
==Characteristics== *WS - 59 *BS - 33 *S - 56 *T - 53 *Ag - 44 *Int - 32 *Per - 36 *WP - 41 *Fel - 36
*'''Wounds:''' 13 *'''Fate Points:''' 3 *'''Corruption:''' 0 *'''Insanity:''' 0
*'''Total XP Spent:''' 13,000 *'''Unspent XP:''' 0 *'''XP to next rank:''' 15,000
===Armour=== *Head 5 *R.
