*Truly not much can more disconcerting to the Ebon Empress than the Sidereal that took you when you just born. Your parents were brave passing you off to the rogue Sidereal late one night in the very tower that the Empress resides. The Sidereal had disappeared into the night but the Shadow Scythes are never far from the Exalted. They hunted for the pair of you, chasing you deep from the Blessed Isle into the wastes of the East, exhausted the Sidereal came to a small village just north of Denandsor. There you cried knowing that something powerful was closing in, the terror that you felt has faded only to bother dreams and nightmares. It was here the Sidereal waited for Scarlet Ruby, and yet it was here the Ebon Empress appeared, laying waste to the City with her dark powers. The village burned and creatures hunted the mortal and god, killing all they could find, sadly the Sidereal was caught and slain and for a while you were in the hands of the Empress the dark blade of night's tip against your chest. You cried and in that cry the woman who held you stopped and staggered back dropping you to the blood stained ground. You were caught though, Scarlet Ruby rolled to her feet, you in one arm the other holding a Red Jade Daiklave.  Words were passed lost time and Scarlet Ruby raced away. The Shadow Scythes lost you both near Denandsor, and you came to Caradeen and the Hill, where you have lived most of your life.
*You know very little, and what you might know is mixed in nightmares and dreams. Mostly you remember the heat of fire, the scent of charred flesh, and the screams of the dying, as well as the beautiful and frightening woman who wielded a sword made of darkness. You have been raised with loving care by the Matron of the Hill, Scarlet Ruby. It was your skills at healing and voracious desire to know things that have placed you into the world of Caradeen and the Orphans of the Hill. Eloria has helped shape the young woman though it has proven more difficult as the child’s admiration for the fiery red head Scarlet Ruby has overshadowed most, but still Kittee does her best to help when the occasional illness or wound threatens a person.
