[[Category:Character|Ronez Ildwor]][[Category:Traveller 4]] A character for ''Traveller'', created by psychojosh13.
Traveller has been through quite a few incarnations over the years, and the only one I own is the much-maligned 4th edition. For all its flaws (some of which are only apparent if you know the other editions or were there for the hype that apparently preceded this one), it still has a fun random chargen system, with some optional control (e.g. over education). == Campaign == I've always thought it would be fun to play smugglers in a sci fi game, so that's the sort of campaign this guy will be in. You know the drill - flying past Imperial blockades with a ship full of illegal goods, looking for the perfect planet to offload it for maximum profit. Although I suppose there's also a big risk of TPK in the form of getting blasted out of orbit... == Character Stats == Ronez Ildwor
Age 26 Str 10 Dex 8 End 8 Int 7 Edu 5 Soc 5
(or simply A88755 if you prefer a UPP) Homeworld features: Class A starport, medium size, standard atmosphere, wet world, population 1 million +, law level 8, tech level D Career: Rogue (2 terms) Skills: Computer 1, Grav Craft 1, Ground Craft 1, Melee Combat 1, Perception 1, Pilot 1, Short Blade 3, Stealth 1, Survival 1, Trader 1 Equipment: Combat Knife == Character Description == Ronez had dreams once. He was going to be a Navy pilot, and a damn good one at that. But then it turned out the Navy didn't want him, and he was going to have to get his pilot training elsewhere. Hooking up with a gang of gun runners, Ronez got his chance at interstellar adventure and learned enough about flying to feel comfortable behind the controls, if not yet dazzle the minds of those arrogant Navy flyboys. Eight years in, however, his gang got busted and he had to get out of town before he went down with the rest of them. With nothing to his name but the clothes on his back and his trusty knife, Ronez is now looking for another chance to get back at the bureaucrats who keep trying to crush his dreams. == Commentary == I really, really like random chargen. Even in a game that, according to some at least, has no other redeeming qualities. I don't know why, I just really do. So this character was fun to make, although I admit it was a bit disappointing to see so many rolls going into increasing attributes instead of giving him more skills (not to mention the short career and total lack of mustering-out benefits). Oh well, that's how the game goes.
