Colonel Nguyen was a Browncoat in the Independent Army. He was one of the commanders on Athens, and fought in Serenity Valley. Nguyen never surrendered, and for several years he operated as a Dust Devil committing acts of insurgency on the Rim. Then he appeared to have change of heart, took skills in cooking he developed before the war, and began cooking around the Verse. Soon his skills were well known, and was able to establish the Cordon Vert, a culinary institute. <br>
It is unknown to what degree the Cordon Vert is a front for Dust Devil activity, but he was linked to the bombing in Beaumonde. <br>
Since the Quarantine of Blue Sun, Nguyen has established a military base on High Gate. He ranks high in the Blue Sun independence movement.
