Back to [[A_Fistful_Of_Cowries|the main page]]. A mortal patrician born of House Tepet, Makashi is a demon hunter wandering Creation in search of his childhood sweetheart, Autumn Rain. He was a minor commander in the disastrous campaign to the North which resulted in the destruction of the Tepet forces and the deaths of all the men under his command. He survived, barely, but only because the Forsaken that wiped out his unit was a transfigured Autumn Rain, who spared his life and told him not to look for her. After being recovered from the battlefield, he disowned his surname and went forth into the world to find Rain anyway. He studied for a time under the Lunar loremistress Siri Stalks-The-Truth, who taught him thaumaturgy and other mystic arts. He allied with the Wyld Hunt, and feigned interest in hunting down Solars, but in truth he only did so to take advantage of their rumor and news networks to find Solars who might be Rain. Having had his perspective on Anathema broadened by close encounters with them, he worked to help fledgling Solars escape the Hunt if he judged that they were not going to abuse their powers. Makashi is a skilled small unit commander and is pretty good in a fight. He's experienced in fighting Exalted and has been comprehensively educated in the occult. He's also a pretty good cook, and can produce a feast even with substandard ingredients. He is, however, only human, and he's already resigned himself to the fact that his search for Rain may not be finished in his lifetime.
