*Miskatonic University's faculty directory lists Dr. Malcom Tennant of the Department of Linguistics as the authority on dead and extinct languages. With the email and the phone call, Dr. Tennant is quite interested. The Federal Papers are the only source of the language he knew about. In about an hour, he returns an email translating each of the sides of the cube as follows (in the pattern on a standard six-sided die):

*6. Shi(“Time”, “Before”, “The Predecessor”)

*He's also very eager and happy to learn anything and everything Jess is willing to tell him about the cube (which may not be much given that it's evidence in a Federal investigation).
