Even the simplest praise from Saeki fills Mizuki with joy, but the thought of disappointing her is more terrifying than Mizuki can bear.

|Through her work with the UGN, Mizuki occasionally encountered Shigano as he attempted to investigate incidents involving renegade virus. She found a kindred soul in him, someone whose burning curiosity drove him to seek answers at any cost, and with repeated encounters their relationship grew (non-romantically) close, though he never guessed that Mizuki was anything more than a normal young woman. Despite their closeness she feels a sadness when she's with him, which any human being would easily understand as guilt for the lies and secrets she hides behind.

But she also begins to lose her connection to humanity; after all, compared to her and her sister everyone else is an alien.
