''Matthias Wilson is a recent addition to the New York City scene and a mysterious one at that. This burning man seems bent on bringing the visage of the Devil back to the streets of New York… but none are sure why. Osborn is wary of this newcomer’s, but isn’t too worried as the guy rarely leaves the original Daredevil’s turf in hell’s kitchen. Still, a threat is a threat and Osborn is keeping tabs on his latest potential foe. If Norman knew this guy’s pedigree… he’d be a lot more worried though. Matthias Wilson is the son of Wade Wilson… the Deadpool and the insane man-killer Typhoid Mary. It’s unclear how their relationship ended but it is known that Mary kept Matthias. He boy proved to be a balancing force for her and seemed to reconcile her conflicting personas. Matthias was practically bound to his mother till his late teens as only with the aid of her powers could his body be kept from constantly displaying flickering flames. However, in his late teens Matthias’ father came for him… which was odd as Matthias had only met his father a handful of times before hand. As it turned out, Wilson simply needed his son’s assistance with a mission… a trend that would repeat itself time and time again. Matthias thus had an odd lifestyle. With his mother he was spoiled and kept sheltered and with his father he was treated much like a lackey or tool. Matthias’ relationship with his father currently because of this upbringing is to say the least… complicated. His mother however is a different story… last year lacking her son’s retarded aging… she pasted away of old age. On her death bed, her personalities reached full fusion and with her final breaths she was ashamed of the many people she’d hurt in her early life… most notably the man she’d derived pleasure from tormenting again and again… Matt Murdock, the original Daredevil. Remorseful at the end, Mary begged her son to not follow the path of his father and to live a good and decent life… to attune for the sins of his parents. Matthias promised her that… and then she died. Matthias took his oath to heart though and came to the home of Matt Murdock to decide on how to repay his families debt of misdeeds. Murdock himself was already dead… so no penance could be paid to him directly. So Matthias has set upon another means of paying his mother’s victim back… by taking on his legacy and renewing the guardianship of hell’s kitchen with his own blood, sweat, and tears. Being the second seeming reincarnation of New York’s old heroes, Matthias as the new Daredevil has garnered almost as much attention as Malcolm from the Bugle. The articles blare with references to a new day dawning and great wave of renewal steadily building in force in the back alleys of New York. Malcolm and Matthias have yet to met face-to-face… but it’s only a matter of time.''
