PROPOSED VIRTUE FLAW: Fighting Obsession (will deliberately seek out and attempt to provoke the most challenging fights possible, with no regard whatsoever for odds. Could theoretically charge armies, his own party members, or even Gods head on for the sake of this. In addition, he will take ANY challenge he is faced with.)

Character Backstory:

Darolt was born to a family that was believed to be half-southern, half-Barbarian and all-commoner. He learned from his father to be highly cynical of all, and that a man's duty was to long after his family. Darolt's mother was a highly resourceful woman from whom Darolt likely inherited his cunning (and, judging from her stories of Dragon-Blooded ancestors, his Exaltation). The two would often bicker- Darolt's father claiming it was enough that they stayed alive, and Darolt's mother wanting to gamble everything (including them and their children) on finding some way to move up in the world.

This clash would go on for years- with Darolt and his mother often doing highly evil things behind his father's back to help the family get by. Darolt was at this point seen by his father as the useless one- he was so utterly pathetic at survival skills (a trait he shared with his grandfather, he was told) that everybody else had to do it for him. However, Darolt WAS quite good at begging, conwork, and whenever he could scrounge up the cash at socialisation. Only his father's hated honor held the boy back, as everything had to be concealed from the man.

Another aspect of the two bickering was over the question of honor. Eventually, at age 14 Darolt would permanently resolve to side with his mother (though his younger brother would side with their father)- the clinching issue being the 'Great Clash'. Darolt's father would gain what could have been their 'big break', when he saved a dying traveller. He discovered that the traveller was a God-Blooded, fighting to keep what he called the 'Cheat's Armor'- a suit that prevented aging. In an overnight debate, Darolt's father would veto any plans to take the suit by force and ended up killing his own wife rather than let her do so. In the end, the God-Blooded robbed them blind anyway.

After the incident Darolt denounced his father, and left for the cities. There, he would meet a powerful Dragon-Blooded lord (OOC NOTE: Not sure what House he should be from- can I have advice on this, please?) there on buisness. At first he could not believe his eyes- the odds of meeting a Dragon-Blooded by chance were low enough, but a half-Wyld? Despite this, concluded said Lord, duty was duty- he took Darolt in and started to raise him. Darolt waited two weeks while he learned the ropes, then stole his Maces of Power and fled.

It has been a year since Darolt fled said Lord- a year in which he has met up with new companions. Havign spent most of his life in the desert, he is only now getting his bearings in the world. He is taking his time, and slowly formulating future plans. He has already fought and defeated the God-Blooded who introduced the Cheat's Armor to him and has taken it for himself. Now, with the sheer potential of the Armor at his command, his potential for power has risen massively...

Character Personality:

Despite everything he has done and intends to do, Darolt sees himself as a good person. If you were to ask him and for some reason he had no desire to decieve, he would tell you that he has done everything in order to provide for his as-yet nonexistent family and to ensure their prosperity into the future. This is in fact a self-delusion- Darolt's true driving factor is an abnormally strong status instinct.

Judging by his behaviour, however, Darolt is a scheming cheat. He is a loyal person by nature to his friends and family, but that's the limit. In his time Darolt has shamelessly commited theft, blackmail, murder, false oaths, conspiracy, and technically treason (briefly aided a conspiracy plotting to destroy the Realm).

Exploiting his skills, Darolt keeps up the mask of a strong, loyal warrior- concealing his true nature. As patient as one would expect from an Earth-Aspected who doesn't age, he waits for his time and then strikes. Everywhere he goes, Darolt looks for opportunities to build up his power and create potential opportunities for the future- after all, he never knows which ones may bear fruit...

Character Links:

-Sees Yasu as a potential political ally with high potential usefulness for the future. One of his "leads" (potential plans to be pulled off if possible) involves trying to install Yasu as a friendly figure with as much power in House Tepet as possible- hence hopefully promoting him into a power base.

-Sees Cathak as fun to fight against but not really anything worth incorporating into his plans.
