Holcombe enlisted at 18, served for a time in an infantry unit, and then put in a packet for what was then MSOR and is now the Marine Raiders.  He served honorably through several deployments to Helmland with the Marine Raider Regiment.  A few years ago, he was assigned TDY on a training rotation to the US Embassy in Tashkent and played a small role in the events of OPERATION MODERATE TUNE, which brought him to the attention of Delta Green.
