Editing Doctor Who: Doom of the TARDIS

The TARDIS is crashing. The materialisation circuits have latched onto people and places that carry traces of its travels. Scattered throughout time and space, these tethers are pulling the timeship apart. The Doctor is just about holding things together, but it's gotten to the point that she can no longer leave the TARDIS if she wants it to stay in one piece. 

The Doctor's solution? To land as briefly as she can and grab a few of the people carrying the trace: former companions, old acquaintances, and others touched by the Doctor's travels. She hopes that bringing enough traces into the TARDIS will stabilise it, and that the people she brings aboard can be the new TARDIS crew. As she keeps the TARDIS together, her new crew can go out and bring back more of the traces, and bring the TARDIS to a safe landing. The crew will need to track down the traces and bring them back to the TARDIS, while unravelling the mystery of why it's crashing in the first place.
