Daniel is pale and freckled, which he attributes to his mother's Scottish heritage. Daniel generally dressed in a short sleeve button down and jeans and always carries a small Moleskine notebook with him. Background: Daniel Kleinfelder grew up in Brooklyn, his mother is a school teacher and his father a police officer. From a young age, Daniel loved reading and stories, especially crime and horror literature. Despite some youthful rebellion involving drinking and petty crime he did well in school and went to the City University of New York for creative writing where he managed to get a couple short stories published. He is now pursuing his MFA at Columbia. Daniel loves horror and the occult but does not believe in it at all. He was raised Lutheran and goes to church with his family a couple times a year, but doesn’t really believe in the supernatural at all. He wants to understand it more though so he can use it in his stories, and thinks attending a seance would be an excellent way to gather authentic details that he could use later in his stories. Both of Daniel’s grandfathers have died in recent years. Both grandparents lived in New York City and Daniel was close to both of them. One was a police officer, and the other a carpenter. Both men were proud of Daniel’s interest in literature. Daniel also has three sisters, one older who is a nurse, and two younger who are both in High School.
