Rook thinks, ::When the first few batches of AIs came back online and tried to reintegrate, there were of course those who thought we would make better slaves than citizens. DuMont was one of the leaders of that movement. He thinks he can discover some kind of secret technology by destructive testing of active AI Matrix Cores - which is ludicrous, by the way - and he's made a business of being some kind of gadfly. I've taken the whole situation rather personally, since I think he really may have managed to take one or two of us over the years. What I was saying to him was a threat, but it wasn't the threat that he or anyone else thinks I was making.::
