'''''DragonQuest''''' was published by [[SPI]], better known for their more traditional wargames. Unfortunately, the rulebook read like it was published by a company known for wargames, and featured detailed ''numbered'' rule sections. Also, for some reason (possibly because the book was looking a little slim otherwise) about a third of the rulebook is devoted to a detailed listing of stats and brief descriptions for a large number of individual demons of several different ranks. This is far more space than is dedicated to listing every other type of animal or monster combined. (To be fair, one of the types of magic in the game is explicitly designed to summon demons and bind them to the summoner's will, or at least keep them from eating him outright.)
